As an apparent late comer to the music scene, Mark Stacey has certainly made a massive impact in the last few years and is now tipped for the top with his impending first release on Maquina.

Music has always been a passion for this Manchester born lad. DJing in local bars at weekends and working as a civil engineer during the week, Mark decided aged 20 to make his passion his full time career and enrolled at the Manchester School of Sound Recording to study Music Production.Easy it was not;

Manchester is a hub for up and coming DJ’s and Mark knew it would take hard work and determination to reach the top. This perseverence and sheer love for music paid off when Mark ran many small club nights across Manchester, meeting many people in the music industry and slowly making a name for himself.

The culmination of 5 years of music production and Djing came to fruition early in 2010 when Mark Stacey started getting regular DJ gigs in the worlds number 1 club, Sankeys. This meant him playing alongside top DJ’s such as Sebastien Leger, Kris Menace, Chris Lake and Dusty Kid to name just a few, again securing Mark Stacey’s name amongst the best in Manchester!

His talent for production was recognised not too long after when Maquina signed up 2 of his new tunes, due for release in early 2011. Things can only get bigger for the ever talented Mark Stacey now. With more tunes planned for release right through 2011, you’re sure to be hearing his tunes on a dancefloor near you very soon.
